Lamb and Barley Soup

Slow cooked lamb in a farmhouse style soup. Hearty, delicious and nostalgic.

Storage

Keep refrigerated (1-4C)
Once open, consume within 3 days

Stovetop:

Either place the sealed pouch into a pot of boiling water and simmer until heated through or alternatively pour contents directly into saucepan and heat gently, stirring frequently.

Microwave (1100w):

Pour contents into a microwave safe vessel, cover, and heat on high for 2-3 minutes or until heated through.

This product is suitable to freeze

Freeze within 3 days before use by date. Once frozen, to be kept for up to 3 months in the freezer. To be consumed immediately after heating. DO NOT REFREEZE

Method 1

1.        Half-fill pot with water and bring to a boil.

2.        Submerge frozen soup packet into the boiling water for 15 minutes or until heated thoroughly. Flip pouch occasionally to ensure even heat circulation.

3.        Carefully remove pouch from the pot.

4.        Pour contents out into a bowl and enjoy!

Method 2

1.        Cut a small opening at each corner of the pouch.

2.        Place pouch in a microwave safe vessel in an upright position.

3.        Microwave on high for 10 mins or until heated through.

4.        Carefully pour contents out into a bowl and enjoy!

Method 3

1.        Defrost soup in refrigerator

3.        Heat per packet instructions

Stock (Water, natural chicken stock), lamb (10%), carrot, celery, onion, tomato (diced tomato, citric acid (330)), barley (1.5%), canola oil, parsley, garlic (garlic, salt), lemon juice, pink salt, lemon zest, rosemary, thyme, black pepper.
